Pasochoa Peak

This mountain is the refuge of wild life.  One of the enchanted areas of the Andes mountains range.  It is located at 45kms/28mls. South-west of the City of Quito (the capital).

Because the shape and lushly vegetated crater, formed in the last years.  It has become a picturesque forest which constitute the Pasochoa Forest Reserve.  Here, it is the residence of many protected species that are not found anywhere else in the Andes.  Throughout the hike you may enjoy the beautiful countryside, although the hike is on a dirt road.


We will take off from Quito early in the morning, taking the main road (Panamericana Sur) towards Amaguaña reaching the hills of the Pasochoa as high as 3300masl where we will hike for up to four hours all the way up to 4199masl reaching the summit.  Where you may have a perfect view of the Cotopaxi,
